Another famous site to visit in Paris is the Notre Dame Cathedral that is situated on the Île de la Cité. The church that is well known for its French Gothic architecture contains elaborate carvings, beautiful gateways and many other exciting things to see. You can visit this amazing cathedral early in the morning, take a stroll around and climb to the top of its towers for getting the fascinating view of the entire place. Sainte Chapelle Church which was built in 1248 is also a popular Gothic Church which is located close to Notre Dame Cathedral.

The Louvre

It is the largest art museum in the whole world and attracts around four million visitors every year. The museum was opened in 1793 and contains more than 35,000 pieces of artwork including antiques, paintings, sculptures and more. Make sure not to miss out the gigantic glass pyramid at its entrance and the Salle des Etats holding the world famous Mona Lisa.

Les Invalides is also a place worth visiting in Paris. This complex of military monuments and museums was built in 1679. The tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte is a huge marble monument that needs to be visited too.
